pat-A-cake

Pat-a-cake, pat-a-cake, baker's man,
Bake me a cake as fast as you can;
Pat it and prick it and mark it with 'B' and put it in the oven for Bugs and me.

Ding-dong bell, Pussy's in the well
Who put her in?
Little Johnny Flynn
Who pulled her out?
Little Tommy Stout
What a naughty boy was that, try to drown poor Pussycat,
who ne'er did any harm, but killed all the mice in the Farmer's barn!

Sing a song of six pence...

Sing a song of six pence a pocket full of rye,
Four and twenty black birds baked in a pie,
When the pie was opened the birds began to sing,
Oh wasn't that a dainty dish to set before the king?

The king was in his counting house counting out his money,
The queen was in the parlour eating bread and honey,
The maid was in the garden hanging out the clothes,
When down came a blac kbird and pecked off her nose!

Chanda mama

Hindi mai: Chanda Mama aao na,
Dhood-batasa khao na,
Meethi lori gao na,
Bistar mein so jao na....

In english: The man in the moon, the man in the moon,
Looked out of the moon, looked out of the moon and said,
'Tis time for all children on the Earth, to get to the bed...

London bridge is falling down, falling down....

London Bridge is falling down, falling down, falling down....
London Bridge is falling down,
My fair Lady.
Build it up with wood and clay, wood and clay, wood and clay....
Build it up with wood and clay,
My fair Lady.

Wood and clay will wash away, wash away, wash away.....
Wood and clay will wash away,
My fair Lady.

Build it up with bricks and mortar, bricks and mortar, bricks and mortar.....
Build it up with bricks and mortar,
My fair Lady.

Bricks and mortar will not stay, will not stay, will not stay......
Bricks and mortar will not stay,
My fair Lady.

Build it up with iron and steel, iron and steel, iron and steel.....
Build it up with iron and steel,
My fair Lady.

Iron and steel will bend and bow, bend and bow, bend and bow.....
Iron and steel will bend and bow,
My fair Lady.

Build it up with silver and gold, silver and gold, silver and gold.....
Build it up with silver and gold,
My fair Lady.

Silver and gold will be stolen away, stolen away, stolen away.....
Silver and gold will be stolen away,
My fair Lady.

Set a man to watch all night, watch all night, watch all night.....
Set a man to watch all night,
My fair Lady.

Suppose the man should fall asleep, fall asleep, fall asleep.....
Suppose the man should fall asleep?
My fair Lady.

Give him a pipe to smoke all night, smoke all night, smoke all night....
Give him a pipe to smoke all night,
My fair Lady.

Down came the rain and washed the spider out.

Hot cross buns! hot cross buns!

One a penny, two a penny,
Hot cross buns!

Give them to your daughters, Give them to your sons;

One a penny, two a penny,
Hot cross buns!

Little Bo-Peep

ok, I admit that I didn't knew that Little Bo-Peep was such a long rhyme ;)

Little Bo-Peep has lost her sheep,
And doesn't know where to find them;
Leave them alone and they'll come home,
Bringing their tails behind them.

Little Bo-Peep fell fast asleep,
And dreampt she heard them bleating;
But when she awoke she found it a joke,
For still they all were fleeting.

Then up she took her little crook,
Determined for to find them;
She found 'em indeed, but it made her heart bleed,
For they'd left their tails behind 'em.

It happened one day, as Bo-Peep did stray
Unto a meadow hard by,
There she espied their tails, side by side,
All hung on a tree to dry.

She heaved a sigh, and wiped her eye,
And ran o'er hill and dale-o,
And tried what she could, as a shepherdess should,
To tack to each sheep its tail-o.

Little Bo-Peep has lost her sheep,
And doesn't know where to find them;
Leave them alone and they'll come home,
Bringing their tails behind them.

Georgie Porgie..

I have always loved nursery rhymes. The very thought of rhymes, makes me smile. I never get boared or tired of them. They are like those few songs which u can play on n onnn...
Georgie Porgie, pudding and pie,
kissed the girls and made them cry
When the boys came out to play,
Georgie Porgie ran away.
